Laurel Blatchford has been promoted to president of Enterprise Community Partners.
She makes the move after serving as senior vice president for solutions and chief program officer at the national organization.
Blatchford will report directly to CEO Terri Ludwig and focus on leading Enterprise’s programmatic and policy work, including with teams working in 11 regional and local markets; on federal, state, and local policy efforts; and through key initiatives—like Health and Housing, Resilience, Recovery and Rebuilding, and Opportunity360—focused on connecting people and communities to opportunity. Blatchford’s portfolio will also include Enterprise’s Knowledge, Impact & Strategy team; Enterprise Advisors, which provides consulting services and technical assistance to governments, businesses and nonprofits; and fundraising.
Previously, Ludwig served as both president and CEO.
“Laurel’s creative leadership of a growing portfolio of activities since she joined Enterprise in 2014 demonstrates why our organization and the people we serve will benefit from her promotion to president,” Ludwig said. “Laurel’s deep commitment to low-income families and her dedication to building more resilient, equitable, and inclusive communities will serve Enterprise well as we connect more people to opportunity nationwide.”
Prior to joining Enterprise, Blatchford was chief of staff to Department of Housing and Urban Development secretary Shaun Donovan during the Obama administration, served as executive director of the Hurricane Sandy Task Force, and held several leadership roles in the administration of former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.
