The four urban finalists are meeting unique community needs: Burbank Boulevard Senior Housing in Los Angeles is addressing the surge in senior homelessness; Las Adelitas in Portland, Oregon, has risen on the former site of an infamous strip club; Mill Street Square in Paterson, New Jersey, comprises the adaptive reuse of a textile mill as well as new construction with units for grandparents raising their grandchildren; and PAH! Hiland Plaza in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is the city’s first multifamily project for the Deaf community.
